I think that Stand Up & even Everyday was more about “direct storytelling” which appeals to a wider base and has more of a funk feel. While early Dave was Acoustic Folk. unless you have … unless you have seen this song live..AND with Robert Randolph, you have no clue how incredible this song is..never judge a DMB song by one version and by video…there simply is no comparison when its live , the energy is freakin unbelievable
