I've always been told you can't subsitute the sides my brother who doesn't like vegetables couldn't get more of the Blue Bayou potatoes (which are there take on Scallop potatoes) The Monte Cristo which is only on the lunch menu is the best although the one at Cafe Orleans is cheaper and also as good as the one in Blue Bayou. Blue Bayou is expensive but it doesn't have to be, we always go there and get a split plate which is a $5.00 charge but you each get your salad or gumbo and when the split the plate it is still a really big meal you will definitely be full . The good news is that it is quiet, has several cuts of prime grade steaks and other foods plus it has an excellent wine list (try the Cinnabar - Mercury Rising) and full bar.
