Just saw John … Just saw John Fogerty perform at a private fundraiser concert at some hedge fund mansion on Shelter Island, NY over the Labor Day weekend. At 64 the guy is still amazing….powerful guitar playing + the same unique voice.
Wouldn’t we all … Wouldn’t we all love to see the Woodstock performance? JF supposedly vetoed its release because he wasn’t happy with the band’s performance. Also missing is footage of the Butterfield Blues Band featuring the best guitarist at Woodstock (yes I mean that) Buzzy Feiten!

You know, I really don’t believe that CCR fit in with the “hippy” crap that was going on back then, mainly because none of them ever died of drug overdoses or anything. Sure, they may have let their hair grow long and everything (how else would they sell albums and concerts?)
