are there any places in california that is like a bayou?

I was wondering if there are any places, parks, lakes, etc in california that looks like a bayou.

If you follow the Sacramento River through the Delta, you’ll feel like you’re on a Bayou & get a history lesson at the same time! If you have access to a boat, that’s the best way, but you can also drive the route & get a real feel for how the 49ers traveled from San Francisco to New Helvitia (now Sacramento) during the California Gold Rush. See http://www.discovernortherncalifornia.com/follow-the-sacramento-river.html for details.

Hope you get a chance to take this trip – it’s full of amazing surprises!

Yes, California delta between San Francisco bay and Sacramento river and San Joaquin river. The river network connects everywhere and people live in water front with boats and many wildlife.
