Recently, a few states were given millions to pay for medacaid. In order, to buy votes. I believe that there is a clause in the constitution that prohibits favorable treatment for one state over the other. Can someone remind me? Or give me a new reason?
The 14th Amendment guarantees Equal Protection under the law. Giving single States an exemption from federal taxes which apply to all other States, while they still receive the benefits is a violation of the Equal Protection clause, in my opinion.
